I like sober, but also glitter.
I like glitter, but also mat.
I like design, but also baroque.
I like simple glace, but also decoration.
I like black, but also colors.
I like simple form, but also pottery in multiple parts.
To me it’s a challenge to establish a balanced picture with these
extremes of form and layer.
My inspiration I get from my photo's, books with collages in which I paste
all kind of images that appeal to me and also from my drawing booklets of
which I always carry one with me. Beforehand I often make a mood board.
Most of my pieces are turned. After a biscuit firing I finish it off with
a glace, sub glace and for contrast with a black slip. The last firing
variates between 1060C. and 1240C. depending on the kind of glace.
